I bought a Sunbeam Cool Mist Humidifier and the replacement cost of these wick filters is exceeding over 0.00 ,………just to run the humidifier.
They last a very short time before they need to be replaced. What a rip-off !
Does anyone know if I can clean these "wick filters" ?

try soaking it in plain white vinegar for an hour or so. rinse well with clear water as vinegar is an acid
"CLR" I assume. Cleans the hard water deposits in mine but I dont have a ‘wick’ filter.
